Dear Maverick fam! As core contributors continue to build and support the Maverick ecosystem , we’ve heard your questions about the latest roadmap — especially around the veFlywheel redesign. Here’s a quick update: 🟣 Core is still soliciting feedback on the BP(3,3) proposal and gathering data on other ve(3,3) models. As well as analyzing the performance of Solidly forks like Velodrome and Aerodrome, core will be paying close attention to the rollout of Rooster Protocol on Plume, since that team has built a slightly different ve(3,3) model on top of Maverick’s AMM technology. 🟣 Once this data is collected and assimilated, core developers will begin the work of building the new smart contracts to support BP(3,3). This will require both new engineering work and careful attention to integrate with the existing veMAV infrastructure. Maverick also remains committed to user safety, and building secure contracts takes time. Core will never compromise security for the sake of speed. 🟣 When development work is complete, the new contracts will need to be submitted for security audits and any issues the auditors identify will need to be remediated. 🟣 With these three stages of development in mind, core projects that the new BP(3,3) flywheel should be ready for launch before the end of 2025 (target is late Q4). 🟣 Core will keep the community updated as the project progresses through these stages. Please bear in mind that Maverick continues to rely on a small group of dedicated developers, who work hard to deliver updates to the protocol (both large and small). In addition to large overhauls like BP(3,3), operating a DEX onchain requires a constant litany of less visible development work. For example, zkSync recently sunsetted support for TheGraph, requiring devs to transition both v1 and v2 to other infrastructure solutions in order to keep the protocol running.
